Mid-America National Aquatic Center

Together, the YMCA, the City of St. Joseph, Buchanan County, and Mosaic Life Care are proud to be a part of the Mid‑America National Aquatic Center—a transformational project designed to serve families, athletes, and residents for generations to come. This state‑of‑the‑art facility will offer comprehensive programming including water aerobics, swim lessons and water safety, recreational swimming, competitive training, and aqua therapy. The expansion features a 50‑meter Myrtha pool with 10 lanes, depths ranging from 4 to 12 feet, and two 1‑meter diving boards, along with a mezzanine-level spectator area, multi‑purpose rental space, and concessions. Additional amenities include ADA‑accessible locker rooms and family changing areas. The facility also offers an 84‑degree multipurpose pool with zero‑entry access, water play features for younger swimmers, and four 20‑yard lanes ideal for aerobics, rehabilitation, and instructional programs. The expected completion date is set for fall of 2027.
