The YMCA is a not-for-profit that puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. When you give to the Y, you're doing your part to strengthen our community through the cause-driven work of the Y.

WAYS TO GIVE

Your gifts to the YMCA help people grow in spirit, mind and body, and instill the values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. Since our local YMCA was founded more than 138 years ago, gifts from people like you have made huge returns of service to our region possible.

There are many ways to support the YMCA of St. Joseph. Most donors make gifts and pledge payments by check, credit card or bank draft. Others take advantage of tax savings that come from giving appreciated stocks, shares of mutual funds, bonds, real estate or other types of personal property. A growing number of YMCA members and friends incorporate gifts into their financial and estate planning.

Your gift - large or small - makes a difference to the communities we serve.

Where Your Donation Goes

Generous contributions transform the lives of children, adults and families in our community. Here are some examples of how a gift can have an immediate, life-changing impact:

  • $49 provides one youth sport for a child
  • $131 provides a week of preschool child care and kindergarten readiness
  • $196 provides four weeks of before and after school child care
  • $316 provides four weeks of summer day camp
  • $794 provides for a single parent membership for one year
  • Any amount offsets the financial assistance and reduced fees that we provide
