Private Swim

Those interested in one-on-one swim instruction may arrange times with an instructor to fit your schedule.
Fees are based on a six session minimum.

Program Member: $150*

Adult Swim Lessons

Instructors work with students in a small group to help them overcome their fears and begin to develop basic swimming and personal safety skills. Advanced instruction is also available.

Aquatic Exercise Programs

Water Exercise Classes

Classes consist of exercises performed in a water setting. Endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness can be improved with minimal impact on joints. Classes offered include: Aqua Aerobics, Water Walking, Aquafitness, Arthritis.

AQUA AEROBICS

When: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Time: 8:30am-9:30am
This class utilizes both the shallow and deep ends of the pool for exercise. This class focuses on cardio conditioning as well as strengthening your core muscles.

WATER WALKING

When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
Time: 9:30am-10:30am
This class is primarily taught in deep water using flotation belts. The class focuses on toning the muscles. Minimal stress on joints! Thirty minutes of Water Walking is comparable to 90 minutes of walking on land!!

This class is a national program developed by the Arthritis Foundation and YMCA of the USA. It provides a safe and effective exercise program for people with arthritis. The class focus is on improving and sustaining joint mobility, muscle tone.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASS

ARTHRITIS 1: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

This class is a national program developed by the Arthritis Foundation and YMCA of the USA. It provides a safe and effective exercise program for people with arthritis. The class focus is on improving and sustaining joint mobility, muscle tone, functional endurance, and independence.

AQUA FITNESS

When: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 5:30-6:15pm
Evening exercise class conducted in both the shallow and deep ends of the pool. This class begins with stretching to warm up your muscles then moves into cardio, muscle strength, and toning exercise.

Parent/Child Classes – 3 years and under

Water Discovery– Introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment

Water Exploration– Focuses on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety and aquatic skills

Stages 1-6– 3 years and up

Water Acclimation– Increase comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance

Water Movement– Encourages forward movement and basic self rescue skills performed independently

Water Stamina– Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distance than in previous stages

Stroke Introduction– Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforce water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke

Stroke Development- Introduces breast stroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and side stroke

Stroke Mechanics- Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle
