A Gift That Gives Back
The YMCA is a not-for-profit that puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. When you give to the Y, you’re doing your part to strengthen our community—and a strong community is good for everyone.

Whether you’re helping a child attend summer camp, giving someone the assistance they need to make a healthy change in their life or contributing to the construction of a new Y facility, your gift will let us continue to affect positive change in St. Joseph.

Ways to Give
Your gifts to the YMCA help people grow in spirit, mind and body, and instill the values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. Since our local YMCA was founded more than 130 years ago, gifts from people like you have made huge returns of service to our region possible.

There are many ways to support the St. Joseph Family YMCA. Most donors make gifts and pledge payments by check, credit card or bank draft. Others take advantage of tax savings that come from giving appreciated stocks, shares of mutual funds, bonds, real estate or other types of personal property. A growing number of YMCA members and friends incorporate gifts into their financial and estate planning.
Your gift - large or small - makes a difference to the communities we serve.

Where Your Donation Goes
Generous contributions transform the lives of children, adults and families in our community. Here are some examples of how a gift can have an immediate, life-changing impact.

$84 will give a child the opportunity to learn water safety and swimming.

$85 sends a child to a week of summer day camp filled with swimming, crafts, games and other value-based activities.

$185 sends a child to YMCA Camp for one week of outdoor exploration and character-building activities.

$1034 provides two seniors with one year’s membership, including activities for improved health and new friendships.

With your help, the YMCA can continue to turn no one away due to an inability to pay. When a YMCA volunteer contacts you, please say yes. It truly can make a difference in so many lives.
